Just finished altering a girl’s prom dress and I’m waiting on her friend to come pick it up. I donated several dresses to the Princess Project that provides prom dresses for girls who might otherwise not be able to afford them and two of which were Sarah Dunham originals (that’s me!). I hope the girls who get those will really treasure them. One was a sample dress to see how the pattern would turn out for bride’s maids dresses and the other was one of the actual bride’s maid dresses that was completed before the bride changed her mind. That one has never been worn.

I can’t wait to see them on someone. I asked the head of the Princess Project to take a photo of the girls in those dresses so I can put them in my portfolio so we’ll see.

Still waiting on the altered dress to be picked up. tick. tock. tick. tock.

Ah, he came and picked up the dress! 45 minutes later than he said he would. And, he didn’t have the money to pay me today. *sigh* But, I know the girl needs it tonight so I let him take the dress anyway. I don’t think I’ll have anything to worry about. So far the only people who haven’t paid me are friends of mine.
